I was given the opportunity to submit an article for IWC The Journal. IWC is a renowned Swiss watch-maker that revolves around the concept of passing on a sustainable future to the next generation by creating quality products. And they have been supporting numerous environmental preservation activities. So it was a great honor to be chosen for the “Humans of IWC” article in IWC The Journal.
They have acknowledged me as a wildlife photographer and highlighted my activities in IWC The Journal.
And I have submitted my own article,
“HUMANS AND WILDLIFE MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER”（Part1 & Part2),
which is a two-part article about my opinion on how humans and wildlife animals can coexist in the future.
A sustainable future for both humans and wildlife: this is the dream that I’m pursuing. And my article is based on this motivation. The article will include not only the stories of the tigers and photos at Ranthambhore national park but also the experiences in the Galapagos Islands that have inspired my activities even to this day and many other photos of wildlife. I also included my thoughts after going through the COVID19 pandemic.
It would be a great privilege if this article can find its way to as many readers as possible to give a better insight into the current wildlife. And I hope this will help create a road with the help from the readers that will lead to a future where we humans and animals can live in harmony.

この度、私、山田耕熙は、
”持続可能な未来を次世代に引き継ぐための物作り”をモットーに、多くの環境保護活動への支援を行っているスイスの世界的時計メーカー、IWCさんからお声掛け頂き、IWC The Journalにおいて、Humans of IWCの一人として特集頂きました。
写真家としての私の考えに賛同いただき、活動を紹介して頂いております。そして同時に私自身も、野生動物と人間とのこれからの共存を考え執筆した記事、
「ヒトと野生動物たち、一緒に未来へ。」（Part1 & Part2）
を寄稿しています。
”人と野生動物の両者にとって持続可能な未来”を諦めずに追い求めていきたい。そんな想いで、自分の考えを書き記してみました。ランタンボールの虎達の話や写真はもちろんのこと、私が現在の活動に至るまでに影響を受けた、ガラパゴスアイランドでの体験を伝えながら、生き物達の写真を掲載しています。また、コロナ禍を通して改めて考えたことも含めお伝えしていますので、ぜひお読みください。
一人でも多くの方に、野生動物達の今を知っていただき、そして、本気で一緒に未来を考えるきっかけになってもらえたら幸いです。
